Chris begin his graduate work at the State University of New York at Geneseo, and would earn several varsity letters in Cross Country and a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communications. Di Cesare's view of life was forever changed, however, by a series of horrifying events in and around his dorm room: C2D1 of Erie Hall. From early February through late April of 1985, he and his college friends would endure what is now called 'The C2D1 Haunting'. Apparitions sighted, strange voices heard, moving objects and physical attacks all became part of the ordeal endured by Chris - who had quickly became the focal point of the haunting that also greatly affected several of his college classmates. Photographs, hand-written journal notes, voice recordings and eyewitness accounts have been preserved over time and serve to make Chris' experience one of the most verifiable - and horrific - haunting stories ever!
After decades spent avoiding the spotlight, in 2009 Di Cesare - convinced by the level of respect and authenticity provided by the "Please, talk with me..." film project - finally agreed to share his story. The film recreates the 1985 events surrounding the photograph that became known across the internet as the 'C2D1 ghost'. As a result of a 2011 college speaking tour Chris was featured on the SyFy channel's show School Spirits. The episode titled "Dorm Room Nightmare" first aired on June 27th, 2012 and gained national attention. The film Please, talk with me premiered at SCARE-A-CUSE on September 14th, 2012 along with a companion book by the Rev. Tim Shaw (foreword by John Zaffis, the Haunted Collector) published the same day.
