Actress, Jan Brady Brady Bunch Hour, Brotherhood of Satan, I Dismember Mama

Parafest GuestGeri Reischl is best known as a “pop culture icon” for being “Jan Brady” on"The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" television series (1976-1977). Many fans lovingly call her “Fake Jan.” Geri is also known for being a "horror actress." All of her movies fit in the horror genre. They include: "Brotherhood of Satan," "I Dismember Mama," and her recent 2012 psychological /horror thriller "The Meat Puppet" which won her a "Best Supporting Actress" award in a feature film at the Downbeach Film Festival - Atlantic City Cinefest.

Geri started working in the entertainment industry when she was just 6 years old. She was a "Mattel Toys" girl. She did 10 commercials for Mattel. Geri has an extensive career in the industry. She has done over 40 commercials and many guest appearances on different television series as well. One of her all time favorite gigs was performing with Sammy Davis, Jr. in his night club act doing two shows a night. Singing has always been Geri's passion since she was very young. She had her own country rock band, "The Sand Dabs." They performed at nightclubs, private events, major amusement parks and on the television series "Apples Way." Geri sang and danced in concert all over the USA and Canada with singing sensation Rene Simard throughout the summer of 1976. She was a guest on "POP! Goes the Country" filmed in Nashville. She performed the song "Please Mr. Please" and sang with country legend Marty Robbins.

Geri has done a lot of stage/theatre work over the years. She performed one a Woman Show on Broadway – “Fake Jan Sings for Real” in November 2011. Produced by Michael V. Pomarico. (It was a 2-hour show.) And to top it all of she has her very own 'holiday' celebrated all over the world called “Fake Jan Day.” It’s celebrated every year on January 2nd (Jan 2) with a Cheese Ball, as that is “Fake Jan’s” favorite food.

Geri's fans begged her for years her to put out a CD. In November 2011 her first CD - "1200 RIVERSIDE" was released on Telegraph Hill Records with her Executive Producer, Michael Pomarico. Geri's signature solo from "The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" was re-recorded and released as a CD single“Fake Jan Sings For Real,” - "Your Song."

Geri is currently in the recording studio working on new songs, mostly originals for her next CD. Stay tuned for a release date.
